Ang Application Sa Globe
I never expected that I will join Globe 2 years ago. I think if you had the following experience in a job application, you will feel lucky that you were accepted in this company.
First Wave:
Back in UP, I think it was a lazy Wednesday afternoon, I heard that there will be a career talk in Eng’g. It was Globe and ADTX. I was interested with ADTX since my classmate told me that they will train you how to use Open Source Apps in creating major system. I also like Globe, although I’m
not sure what will be my job there. By the way, I was just wearing a casual white shirt, tsinelas and shorts when I went to the career talk. Guess what? When I arrived, it was already too late. They were already wrapping up their talk. I just passed my Resume then proceeded with the next talk. Too Bad, I was not aware of what I was applying then.
Second Wave:
Well, HR from Globe told me that I was scheduled for an exam. I had no idea where was their main office and all I can remember that it is in Mandaluyong. Then I asked my friend Harold, if he has any idea where it is since he is living in San Juan. Just my luck, he was not familiar but he tried to give me some direction. I followed it and ended up by going down the Shaw MRT station. Since I never been there, I continued to walk the shaw boulevard. Then I had this great feeling that I made a big booboo. I think I’m lost!!! It was around 7:50, the exam was at 8:00 am and still no Globe. I asked a tricycle driver and he said it is far from here. He pointed out an orange building, that is Globe. I want to scream from that moment on because I was already late. I just rode the trike to Globe telecom Plaza I.
Third Wave
My experience of bad luck didn’t stop from there. I arrived in Globe at around 8:15. They were already starting the exam and good thing, they still allowed me to take it. I was filling down the sheet when I read on a specific question. It was "Position Applying For:". I didn’t know what
it was, I just wrote "Engineer Cadet". I was sure it was wrong but I remembered, there was a "cadet" on that position. Good thing the HR asked "Who’s applying here for IT Cadetship"? Then I changed what I wrote down.
Geez, those were the worst experience I had when I applied to my current job. I know they were mere minor problems. At least I scored the job, right?
