Being a geek and loving it…
Thanks to the movie last night, I finally found a long-lost alter-ego. A piece that I thought would be forever lost in my memories. If only I could cry and scream to the reality I drifted away, I should have died by now. The puzzle piece was a pure geek image that I have abandoned since I joined my company.
I missed it really, a world which spins around books and PC, tons of "techno-ledge" and the simple happiness of making a program works. The life whom I known to be the ultimate form of solitude where I can express my hunger for knowledge without caring for outside world. Sleepless night with cups of coffees with a vow of not a single bug would appear in our codes.
What’s cool being a geek? Well, we have the ability to be "Awed" and tinker on new gadgets. Our thirst for knowledge will never be quenched. Ask us aboout a new gadget or queston that we don’t know and we promise to do whatever we can just to satisfy an answer. Numbers are no problems with us. We go ga-ga when we like someone in our own unique way ("Hey do you want your P4 processor be overclocked and sync to my MSI motherboard of love"?). We don’t want physical assaults, instead we prefer to debate and mentally crush your argument.
I would become that being again I promised. A dream I must achieve again in this lifetime. Being the perfect geek and loving it…
